Opss, it happened again..
Opss, it happened again..
For numerous strange reasons, my battery goes south on me every so often. After recharging, it goes okay for at least a couple of weeks, then for no obvious reason, it saps its juice like an extra terrestrial was siphoning it or something. The multimeter car battery tester I bought was hardly any help. I mean, hey, am I supposed to monitor how my battery’s doing at every turn? Besides, I can never understand all that gibberish about how it should be 75% charged and tested under a load. If it has already died down on me, how am I supposed to test it with the engine running? I know it sounds a daft question, but couldn’t they have made this thing simpler like a touch-and-go kind of thing? It’s supposed to make life easier! Not the tester’s fault, but I wish I didn’t buy it in the first place.
I was looking at some sites on the internet about solar car battery charger. I figured if I had to charge my battery frequently, I might as well do it the hassle-free way. Or so I thought. There’s only one problem. It doesn’t work without the sun, (duh?) Seriously, though, you really do need ample sunshine for it to efficiently power up your car battery. Plus when I did the quick math,it wouldn’t really give me that much savings in the long haul considering how much each panel costs. My battery still looks good on the outside, so I’m trying to put off getting a car battery replacement. But I guess I may have to do that soon.
