Estimating the Keyword Value
How do you identify the value of keywords? One metric is the amount of visitors it is able of sending. But the quantity of traffic isn’t all. You have got to be in a position to sell to that traffic. One of the ways to figure out the commercial viability is the PPC cost per click that the advertisers pay to display their advertisements for that keyword. Most tools provide this info, from Google’s External Keyword Tool to Keyword Elite. If the keyword has a high cost per click, means advertisers have gain from it. If the cost per click is low, there’s likely very few buyers looking for that phrase. Focus on this variable when researching, the amount of traffic and competition is not everything.
