Arc Flash Software ESA or something less expensive
The NFPA published the latest edition of the NFPA 70E Standard (Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces) in 2004. The revised version requires employees to wear flame resistant (FR) protective clothing that meets the requirements of ASTM F1506 wherever there is possible exposure to an electric arc flash. It requires employers to perform a flash hazard analysis to determine the flash protection boundary distance. Arc clothing is designed to provide a barrier from heat and flame, to minimize total burn injury and to help provide the wearer with extra seconds of protection to help escape possible secondary explosions or fires in the work area. Arc Flash clothing can increase the chances of survival and decrease the need for medical treatment. Arc Clothing makes a huge impact on saving lives. We also carry a large selection on arc flash tapes.. This insulated rescue hook is an invaluable tool when an injured worker is caught in a dangerous area or electrical hazard. Tool is ideal for use in confined spaces or vaults and near electrical cabinets or switch gears. The 6′ hook features a foam-filled fiberglass reinforced handle for superior electrical insulation and a coated heat-treated body hook with an 18″ opening.
